I’m entering a contest
As most artists are, I am my worst critic. I often hear of photo contests and have people encourage me to enter but I’ll put it off, or tell myself I’m not THAT good, etc.
Well. Enough of that! My wonderful assistant sent me a link to this contest by improvephotography.com and insists I enter, so I am.
And on that note, here are some cute kids.
T Family | Eastern NC portrait photographer
Melissa is another one of those that entrusted me to photograph her children early on. I guess she too was/continues to be impressed enough to have me do it again and again.
Have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy watching children grow up through my lens? (I’m sure I have)
So this last trip to NC Melissa scheduled a session and asked me to meet her at this amazing little mass of trees on Emerald Isle. Her boys, bigger than ever, climbed all over and had a blast.
Mac | Louisville, KY fine art photography
Mac is this awesome tattooed chick I half met on a mommy message board back in NC.
Somehow we got (re)connected on a more personal level after I moved to KY. She realized I was a photographer, and I realized she was an aspiring model, which was just fuel to our fast blooming friendship.
As you probably know, I work primarily with children and families. I LOVE working with children and families. There’s no way I could give it up. But I also Love doing more creative/conceptual stuff on occasion, just to keep the gears turning and what have you. When Mac asked me to shoot a few photos for her to feature in a calendar she’s trying to put together, I was delighted!
So check out what we came up with.
The Y family | Morehead City, NC Family Photography
Back in 2007, when I first started to get serious about my photography as a business I met this family, and they entrusted me with the task of photographing them and their little one (she’s not so little any more).
Through the years, I have moved. Then they moved (Then moved back) but we’ve managed to cross paths throughout.
They’re cute, sweet, and make beautiful babies. What more could you ask for?
So this last visit to NC, we met up once more, so I could photograph, them with their new addition.
Here are some of my favorites.
